This particular fabric has been chosen because it is a total blackout roller blind fabric. It will not let any light through the fabric. OBVIOUSLY You will get light a very small amount of light around the bottom edge of the blind as the blind isnt going to perfect around
We can highly recommed our chain operated blackout roller blinds. They are designed and manufactured to last. They work to provide a total blackout blinds solution.
If you want further blackout around the edges of head boxes and also the side channels you can use some caulk or mastik to get a sealed finish.
NOTE if your walls are not perfectly striaght or to an uneven window sill the blind will not be 100% blackout. Please expect the product to be 97% blackout.

Blackout Cassette Roller Blinds
Utopia is a blackout fabric and will eliminate light coming through the material. It will however let light around the edige of the blind.
Shown is our Utopia Blackout Blind in a recess. This is blocking all the light through the fabric, however there is light seepage around the edge. If you want a total blackout blind then our cassette roller blinds are a great choice.

Detailed Specification
Transmittance is the amount of light and heat transmitted beyond the fabric. The lower the amount, the greater the efficiency. Block/reflect is the amount of heat
and light that is blocked or reflected. The higher the amount, the greater the efficiency.
Absorption is the amount of heat and light absorbed in the fabric. The higher the amount, the lower the efficiency.
Ultraviolet protection illustrates how protective the fabric is against ultraviolet rays. The higher the amount, the greater the effectiveness.
Shading Co-efficiency is tested using a single 6mm glass glazing system with and without a blind to obtain solar heat gain measurements. The heat gained with a blind at the window is divided by the solar heat gained without a blind at the window, giving the Shading Co-Efficient. The lower the result the better the performance of the blind at blocking solar heat.
