About Our Fabric

The herringbone range of curtain fabrics is specifically designed to offer acoustic benefits by reducing echo and reverberation in a space.
When used as a room divider and combined with different linings, these curtains can provide excellent sound blocking capabilities, with reductions of over 11db to 12db.
The acoustic fabric in the herringbone range is certified to BS5867 Part2C standards and can withstand washing at temperatures up to 70 degrees for thermal disinfection. It is an ideal choice for flame retardant curtains and accessories, making it a popular option among our customers.
The acoustic rating of the face fabric has been tested to EN ISO 354 standards, achieving a Grade A with a 0.95 reduction in the acoustic lab. It offers approximately 95% dimout properties, providing nearly blackout conditions even when unlined. The fabric also meets EN ISO 717-1 standards for acoustic insulation, providing up to 5db of sound reduction. It’s important to note that a 10-decibel reduction represents a halving of audible sound.
The herringbone range has successfully passed a certified acoustic report, making it an ideal choice for sound absorption. It is classified as Grade A according to EN ISO 354:2003 standards, indicating effective sound absorption across various frequencies, with a sound absorption coefficient of 0.95aw.
Additionally, our acoustic curtain lining, when used in conjunction with our face fabric, has been certified to provide acoustic insulation of 4db when used with a window.
