Measure the recess in 3 places in the width and the drop. Use the smallest measurement for the width and the drop.
We will make a deduction so the blind fits to that size
Usually allow your blind to overlap between 5-10cm. Or to the width of the overhang of the window sill so everything lines up.
We will make your blinds to the exact size required.
Measure the full length of the track and add on any overlaps.
Poles, Measure the width of the pole excluding the the finials. Curtains will not cover finials so they don;t need to be this wide.
Curtains2bedding make allowance for fullness and pleating. We use the track width entered to calculate this.
For a pencil pleat or pinch pleat heading, measure from the top of the track or the small eye on the ring of the pole to just 1.5cm above the floor, or approximately 15-20cm below the window sill - you can use your best judgement for where you'd like your curtain drop to end. This is your finished hem to hem drop.
Both headings can be adjusted when fitting using the multi pocket tape and hooks for Pencil and the pin on hook for Pinch pleat.
Measure from the underside of the track to 1.5cm above the floor. Or 15-20cm below the window sill. This will be your finished hem to hem drop
Remember only compatible with wave curtain tracks
Measure from the top of the pole to 1.5cm above the floor, or approximately 15cm to 20cm below the window sill depending on where you'd like the curtains to hang to.
This is your finished top of pole to hem drop. Curtains2bedding add Approximately 3cm to the curtain called the upstand above the top of the eyelet. This does not affect the hanging length of your curtains, but creates a finished look - you don't need to account for this additional 3cm in your measurements if ordering from Curtains2bedding.com
All lining options from direct Fabrics are flame retardant certified to BS5867 and can be used in commercial environments.
Unlined Curtains are a good option if you are looking for a low cost option. If the fabric is dimout or blackout it will provide you with a good amount of shading for the rooms with these curtains, dimout will be 90%+ and blackout with a 3 pass coating will be 100% blackout. Obviously depending where the track is located it will depend how much light will come through.
Standard polyester fr lining is a low cost option that provides extra fullness and helps your curtains drape better. The Polyester lining can be washed at 50 times and is inherently flame retardant. It will provide additional shade on standard fabrics and on dimout and blackout fabrics it is used to add a more luxurious feel.
3 Pass blackout lining is Direct Fabrics choice for all curtains as it makes a room have no light come through the curtain. Certified to BS5867 Part2B so can be washed 10 times. The 3 pass coating is very hard wearing and provides a thermal benefit aswell as making your curtain drape better.
Duo Lining Fleece Blackout Lining, a very heavy weight full lining that is an interlined option with the 3 pass blackout lining attached. The Duo lining is an excellent acoustical absorber of sound and will improve room acoustics.
